On 1 September Daphne Francisca Lopez Del Bono died when her vehicle was submerged in floodwaters flood waters in Hillsborough New Jersey.
Daphne, from Santiago, Chile, was an international student at Uceda Institute.
A gofundme campaign set up by Uceda International and Uceda Institute is seeking to raise US$20,000 to repatriate Daphne’s body to Chile.
The circumstances of Daphne’s tragic death are similar to those of international student, Ayaz Younus, who drowned when his car was submerged in floodwaters in Australia in March 2021.
